Civilist is a Berlin-based skateboard brand and skate shop founded in 2009 by professional skateboarders and longtime friends Roland “Hugo” Hoogwater and Alex Flach. Located in the heart of Berlin, Civilist has become one of Europe’s most influential skateboarding destinations, known for its unique blend of skate culture, contemporary art and independent design. The brand’s apparel and skateboard collections reflect the creative energy of the city, often featuring minimalist graphics and thoughtful collaborations. Backed by a talented international team including Denny Pham, Aleksandar Rikowski, Valentin Bauer and Nils Brauer, Civilist continues to represent the progressive and creative side of modern skateboarding.
